ART SHOW IS THE 27TH. PICK OUT YOUR PIECES AND MAKE A PILE THAT'S YOURS
MUST happen this week: If you don't get this done, I will not help you until it's finished.
- You ALL MUST create your AP Digital Submission login. Link HERE
- Once you have your Login and Password, please put the information here.
- There are a few of you who have not done this yet.
- Once you Login, you need to upload at LEAST 5 pieces of artwork and start writing. This must be a single piece and some processes. Example could be 3 single pieces and 2 process shots. 5 is the minimum, do more if you can. Look at the Portfolios below to see sequencing and basic writing is below under 3/7-3/10. Look Below in GREEN to see how to change sizes, etc.
- We will begin fine tuning your writing on Monday and uploading work. The test is due May 5. This is an A day, so all work will need to be submitted this day by the end of our class. You can (and I ENCOURAGE) submissions before.
- After May 5 you do not have to come to our class anymore as we will OFFICIALLY be done. I will have a form for you to bring back to me. If you submit before May 5 you have to come to class but you can use it as a study-hall or to help me out with your classmates.
- I'm sure there are a lot of you who have not done much while I've been gone. This is YOUR test. You all will be submitting and if you don't have the required work you will not pass. If you need to photograph or illustrate more work- now is the time to stop procrastinating. You officially have 11 classes left until we hit SUBMIT.

Hello AP. I'm attaching a lot of information in this post. You all need to have an account with AP Digital Upload by now. Work needs to start being uploaded. The arrangement does not matter as that is easy to change when I get back (April 10).
Uploading To Ap:
- Create a folder on your desktop titled AP Digital Upload
- Open your PSD image in Photoshop. Follow this tutorial to re-size your images.
- Done with re-sizing? File>Save As>lastnameAPUpload1>file format as JPEG. Each image will be titled the same except for the number. Make sure you're saving the image to your DESKTOP Folder. When you close the original PSD file DO NOT save it. We need those BIG original files.
- Now you can upload that image to AP. Save in AP Digital upload often.
Writing for your images:
- It's important to tell the juror your intention. Be confident; "I used natural light to accentuate the shadow coming from the other room. This adds a mysticism to the image." Don't say things like; "I think the natural lighting accentuate the shadow coming from the other room."
- Look at the writings from the attached portfolios. They all received 5's and this means their writing was strong as well as their imagery. They juror knew exactly what the artists intention was and guided them through the 15 images in the AP Upload. Remember the 5 quality can be whatever you want and not be part of the 15 and the Essential Question.

- Make sure you all are uploading to AP. This is not set in stone, as we'll be moving images around and adding images for all of April and working on the writing.
- All of your work (portfolio) needs to be done by April 7. This way we can look at all your work and create a cohesive portfolio online and spend time with the writing.
- Our AP test will be May 5. You will all be excused from your classes that day and we'll work in the classroom on uploading and doing any last minute adjustments.
- What if you're done with your portfolio before May 5 and we've submitted it already? You don't have to come to class May 5.
- I'm scheduled to be back April 10.

- Schoology is updated with your SI counts from 11-17. I added a couple extra to make sure you all have very strong portfolios. You can always do more than 17, just put the extras in folders in Drive.
- Digital Illustration Only: Keep cranking out work and make sure you are making process images. This can be simply turning layers off and showing how you got to your final piece. Maybe one collage has a couple images with layers off and you explaining what brushes you used, opacities, color schemes, line work emphasis, etc.
